Violets, strawberry with wonderful raspberry and its accompanying acidity. Evident oak is quite subdued, second year Chardonnay barrels add that oak structure without dominating. A wine that straddles styles. Structured without being demanding, fruit in abundance but not fruit driven! Great food wine, lighter meats, or maybe a mushroom risotto. Indulge and be damned!…..sometimes.

Grown on a gentle N/E facing slope, made with minimal handling and matured in old French oak barriques.
Enticing oak and darkcherry bouquet, and a smooth mouthfeel that draws you in further to its beguiling world of flavours. Ripe chery continues with light raspberry acidty and tannins that prickle the tongue! As always, gentle but never dull. Andrew Mountford March 2022
