Violets, strawberry with wonderful raspberry and its accompanying acidity. Evident oak is quite subdued, second year Chardonnay barrels add that oak structure without dominating. A wine that straddles styles. Structured without being demanding, fruit in abundance but not fruit driven! Great food wine, lighter meats, or maybe a mushroom risotto. Indulge and be damned!…..sometimes.
