Hand Picked, pressed in a wooden basket press with joy! This was an experiment to go back and rediscover the reason behind our choosingthis occupation. I shy away from calling it an industry..... Picked over six days and pressed immediatley. A light to medium bodied style. Slight lemon bouquet with a hint of burgundian oak. On the palate, the finest mineral edge. A cold climate character of lemon-butter, elegant tannins and a little cashew creaminess. What is not to like!
Take your time with this one, it deserves it.

Select Chardonnay 2022
A small crop from these vines has imparted great intensity to the wine. Fermented in tank and then matured in one year old French oak. A bouquet of lemon butter, with a hint of dried fennel seed. This follows through on the palate with some sherbet like acidity, complex dried apricot flavours add depth and interest. Maybe not the complexity of its close cousin, the 2018 Reserve chardonnay, it still shines like a star! Andrew Mountford 2nd March 2021 NASAA Certified Organic
