Sweet blackberry fruits with intriguing aniseed overtones.
Firm but supple tannins are the result of deliberate and judicious French oak
Nevertheless, the oak does not mask the abundant varietal characters
of this wine.
Dry-grown on the stony North/West slope of the vineyard,
these vines, on their own roots, took a long time to reach maturity.
I guess thirty-one years is enough!
Drink now or savour for another 5 to 10 years.
